Rosalba P.
Rosalba is a rising 8th grader who has been focusing on perseverance during summer school and her afternoon camp of Speech and Debate.  She admits to being a shy person so she has had to work extra hard at Speech and Debate and she was very proud of herself when she won her first friendly debate!

Student Awards


At the year-end school assembly, students received awards for attendance, academic achievement and citizenship.
One student from each grade was also recognized for exemplifying the virtues of integrity and leadership.

Graduation 2009

On Friday, May 29th, De Marillac celebrated its 2009 Commencement Liturgy. Archbishop George H. Niederauer presided at the Mass, along with concelebrants Fr. Louis Vitale, OFM, Fr. Jorge Hernandez, OFM, and Fr. Michael Padazinski. The Commencement ceremony included speeches by our Valedictorian and Salutatorian, and several students and an alumnus were recognized with distinguished awards for service and leadership.

College Minded Culture: Middle School Exposure Trips

De Marillac received a College Exposure grant from the NativityMiguel Network of Schools and Wal-Mart Foundation to take the 7th and 8th grade students on two Bay Area college tours.

to our donors and friends for helping us meet our operating needs for school year 2008-09, which ended on June 30th.
We begin this new school year with a continuing focus on funding scholarships and programs for our growing student body of 108+ fourth-eighth graders and 94 alumni.

Alumnus Highlight


Kim P. 

Kim is the first De Marillac Academy alum to attend University of San Francisco and will begin her studies there this fall.  Kim recently graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (SHCP), earning a 3.2 cumulative GPA.  She is also a talented artist, receiving 2nd in merit for visual arts at her senior awards ceremony this spring.  Kim had some of her art featured during the silent auction at De Marillac's Annual Scholarship Benefit in March of 2009. She has two brothers who also attended De Marillac and continue to receive support through De Marillac's Graduate Support Program.
