De Marillac Goes to Sacramento |
|
De Marillac Academy students recently toured the State Assembly to witness firsthand how California government operates.
California State Assembly Majority Leader Alberto Torrico sponsored the field trip by providing buses for travel, arranging a VIP tour of the Capitol, and meeting individually with the students to discuss his role in government and answer questions. “Ever since Assemblymember Torrico visited our campus in the fall, he has remained in ongoing communication with our school, even honoring our community members with a statewide recognition at our Annual Scholarship Benefit. Given his commitment to educational excellence, we were excited for him to meet with our students in Sacramento and are grateful for his generosity in sponsoring the experience,” said De Marillac President Mike Daniels. “Mr. Torrico’s leadership in the community, and his dedication to educational reform, serve as an example for our students of the significance of public service and the positive impact that one can have upon society.” |
