Formula For Success

Excellent Curriculum and Instruction

The heart of De Marillac's curriculum focuses on core skills and values taught through intensive academic classes. Since most students enter below grade level as English language learners, differentiated instruction is provided by a professional and committed staff of educators, 75% of whom hold a Master's degree and/or a teaching credential.

Extended Schedule

Success requires a commitment of time. De Marillac offers an extended school day beginning at 7:45 am and ending at 5:00 pm. In addition, a mandatory summer enrichment program benefits all students. In total, students are enrolled in over 1,700 hours of instruction, 30% more than traditional schools.

Intimate Learning Environment

De Marillac's family-like community promotes personalized attention that addresses individual student needs. A small class size (with an approximate 1:10 teacher/student ratio) for language arts and math classes enables teachers to provide the attention students need to achieve academic success.

Graduate Support Program

Dedicated counselors ensure appropriate financial, academic, spiritual, and personal support for De Marillac alumni throughout high school and beyond. Alumni participate in a variety of social and volunteer activities that build community and promote a lifelong commitment to De Marillac.
