Student Profile


Helen J.
Helen is in the 4th grade. An excellent student, she received first honors and the Principal's Award for Responsibility in the first quarter. Her teacher says that she consistently completes her homework, shows good effort and has almost perfect attendance. Helen sang recently in a trio at Boedekker Park for the Wonderland project, and she is also a member of a book club at the public library. Helen lives in the Tenderloin with her parents, younger sister and a new baby girl.

Alumnus Highlight


Alan B. 
Alan is a sophomore at Archbishop Riordan High School and an active De Marillac Academy alum. He currently has a 3.2 GPA at Riordan and is a hardworking student, loved by all of his teachers and a pleasure to have in class.  Alan recently played Lord Montague in the Archbishop Riordan High School performance of Romeo and Juliet.  He has found great joy in theatre, and plans to try out for additional plays at Riordan as well as other theatre opportunities around the city.  Alan lives in San Francisco with his parents and one younger brother.
